JH Snow Report
February 20, 2011
It's a winter wonderland outside, which is appropriate since this
weekend is Winterfest! As the snow swirls and spirals to the ground,
it's almost like living inside a snow globe. 9 inches have fallen so
far and it doesn't show any indication that things will slow down.

Tearing it up!
Tomorrow promises to be even better, because after the lifts closed today it REALLY began to dump. We enjoyed a good dinner, posed for the group picture you see here, and shopped for some t-shirts and souvenirs in town before heading back for an early bedtime.
I'm off to sleep now to ensure I am ready for the best day yet! Thanks again for sending your kids--this group has truly been FUN to have around!

Great day! It began at 6:15, and we were on the mountain by 8:30. After the initial chaos of getting lift tickets distributed and making sure everyone was in the right lessons, everything just fell into place.
The day was clear, the snow was soft, and the skiing was terrific. We met at the top of the gondola for lunch, and everyone swapped stories about the first half of the day before venturing out for the finale.
Lessons all seemed to get good reviews, and tomorrow we will all be skiing together in our KCD groups. We are expecting a storm to move in tomorrow, and there are some rumblings of significant accumulations. We are hopeful! I'll post a few more pictures below, and then it's off to an early bedtime again. Have to get rested up for another big day on the hill.

WE SHALL SKI TOMORROW!
Parents: Thanks for all of your patience as we navigated our way through the travails of air travel early this morning! If you are anything like me, you are currently very tired. Your kids are also tired, but we are all VERY stoked to be heading out skiing in the morning!!!
I will be knocking on doors at about 6:15, we'll be at breakfast by 6:55, on the shuttle to the mountain by 8:00, and skiing when the lifts open.
As we ate tonight at the Mangy Moose, snow began to fall at a pretty good clip up on the mountain. It made for a festive atmosphere! I'll attach a few picture below, and then I am off to bed. Look for lots more updates tomorrow, and please feel free to comment on any post. We'll be happy to share your thoughts with the kids.
Thanks very much for sending your children with us. We are all having a terrific time so far!
