All the kids are now in rooms, resting (haha), and preparing for our first day of skiing tomorrow. The travel day proved to be generally uneventful, after a small delay in Louisville where we had to change planes. Other than that, everyone made it here smoothly. Mr. Bell and Mr. Korchnak arrived on a late flight, so they haven't seen the kids yet but are looking forward to that in the morning.
The Elk Refuge was UBER COLD, but everyone seemed to enjoy the sleigh ride and up-close views of the elk, the valley, and the Tetons. The naturalists' talks were a new addition this year, and despite the fact that there was LEARNING going on (how terrible!), they seemed to hold interest pretty well.
The forecast says snow for tonight, so we will all head to bed with visions of powder days dancing in our heads. We shall see...mountain weather is notorious for not doing what it is supposed to do.
I hope you guys are enjoying the pictures on the blog, and I hope some of you tuned in to the ustream channel today for some of our live video streaming. More news and a full update tomorrow!
